The basketball program at TIS/SLS will be run by the Hainan Zishan Basketball Training Association, a program based in Haikou that has been teaching thousands of students since 2012, utilizing an American basketball teaching plan.
Difeng Fan has a masters degree and is a retired professional basketball player who played on the national level and also served as a referee on the national level. He has many years of coaching experience.
Dijie Fu is a national level 2 basketball player and a national first class referee.
Source Chen graduated from the physical education school of Jiangxi University and is a national first-class basketball referee and national level 2 athlete.
Kuo Chen graduated from the physical education school of Guangzhou University and is also a national level 2 basketball player, as well as a national level 2 referee.
Students learn basic basketball skills such as high and low dribbling, shooting, walking, defense, three-step lay-ups, physical training and the rules of the game.
Once students have mastered the basics of basketball, they will learn more technical and tactical aspects of the game, as well as developing their offensive strategy.
Students will focus on developing skills necessary for various types of competition – one-on-one, three-on-three and five-on-five.
